The glass is recycled and comes from Europe. When the load arrives, one lady divides it by color and breaks it up into little pieces and then into powder so that it’s suitable for working.
Then the glass is mouth-blown in the traditional furnace. The glass melting are held every three weeks corresponding to the change of colors. The traditional furnace is made out of clay cooked on site and is rebuilt every year during Ramadan.
